Matthew Wolff's Swing "Crossed Up"

Updated: Oct 6, 2019

First things first. Congratulations to Matthew Wolff for his incredible performance this week! George Gankas has created a monster, and this kid is going to be one of the greats. I also need to say thank you to George Gankas for changing the future of golf instruction.

"Crossed Up" - When the shaft of the club points to the right of the target at the top of the backswing. (For a right handed golfer)

The main ingredient needed for a crossed up backswing... HUGE TURN! If you've seen him swing you'll notice his lead heel come up in the air on the backswing. This will help a lot of you achieve a bigger turn. This also helps him with his vertical forces which is another reason why he smashes the ball. If you want to be crossed up then you better be able to get your back to the target in the backswing. Of course there's more going on, but this is a start. Message me if you have any further questions about this topic.
